ATLANTA, Ga. (July 8, 2025) - Gas South is excited to announce that the official winners of the eighth annual Impact Investment Awards are Lekotek of Georgia and Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC).
Voters casted over 8,600 community votes to award $100,000 to each of these two organizations, supporting them in furthering their missions.
“It’s truly inspiring to support nonprofits like FODAC and Lekotek through this award,” said Carley Stephens, director of corporate giving at Gas South.
“Families across Georgia and beyond face real challenges when it comes to healthcare, and we’re hopeful this support helps ease that burden in meaningful ways.”
Both Lekotek and FODAC reflect Gas South’s goal of supporting children in need. Here's more information about the great work done by both organizations:
- Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) improves the quality of life for individuals impaired by physical disabilities, illnesses or injuries by supplying them with medical equipment, vehicle modifications and more. Since 1986, their work has helped people ranging from 18 months to 105 years.
- Lekotek of Georgia supports children with disabilities by offering a safe, inclusive environment where kids can learn and build confidence using adapted toys, educational tools, and technology. They’ve served over 7,000 families since 1983 and their vision is to create a world where children with disabilities are included and empowered through play.
“It’s so rewarding to see how far the Impact Investment Awards have come and how many families we’ve been able to assist,” Stephens said. “I look forward to counting the community votes every year.”
