Bringing Warmth to Life: Mr. Meter's Dream Journal, Entry 1
10/22/2026
Most of my dreams fade shortly after waking. But this one turned into a blog post.
The dream was simple. I was spending time in the community, connecting with people and lending a hand where I could. Nothing too out of the ordinary, yet it left me feeling inspired.
In the weeks that followed, I found myself looking for opportunities to get out, meet people and make a difference.
First, I spent a few days at the North Georgia State Fair, where I had the chance to meet thousands of fairgoers. I posed for photos, welcomed visitors and even spotted a 15-foot inflatable version of myself towering over the crowd. Not going to lie, it was a little strange seeing myself supersized.
Gas South also brought along the Dream Machine, where visitors could share their dreams for a chance to win a year's worth of free natural gas. It quickly became a popular stop at the fair.
The following week, I headed to the National League Division Series to join Braves fans at The Battery. The Dream Machine made another appearance, my inflatable twin came along for the ride and I even got to catch up with Blooper before the game.
And most recently, I joined the Dream Team for two concert nights featuring Alabama and MercyMe. Before each show, we met concertgoers, tested their trivia knowledge and surprised a lucky guest at each concert with a ticket upgrade. They also had a chance to use the Dream Machine and enter for an opportunity to win free natural gas. Seeing the excitement on their faces was a good reminder that even small surprises can create lasting memories.
But the moment that stuck with me most happened during a simple conversation.
I met a woman and her husband who had recently moved to Georgia. They were settling into a new home and trying to check items off a long to-do list. After answering a few questions about natural gas service, I was able to help make one decision a little easier.
That's when I realized something.
Making a difference doesn't always require a grand gesture. Sometimes it's showing up. Sometimes it's lending a hand. Sometimes it's helping someone feel a little more at home.
Maybe that's what my dream was trying to tell me all along.
And maybe that's what bringing warmth to life is all about.
